Was thinking abt animorphs and the years and controllers and the horror of your body moving but you're not in control and doing things you wouldn't do, including harming others

And my brain made a leap from that to 616 iron man with multiple (I think?) events where he's not in control either of his body or his armor and hurt or killed someone, plus the Skrulls invasion and similarities, skrull pretending to be someone and using that familiarity to cause harm, etc.

And then I went oooof, yeah that would be a wonderfully horrible AU/fusion, wouldn't it. I don't want to write it, but I would probably enjoy reading something with 616 (or mcu ig) characters but set in the world of animorphs, one way or another.

Probably no superheroes like in marvel canon per se but they could have the morphing ability or maybe they're still superheroes and they're fighting the invasion over in NY while a bunch of kids are in CA doing the same?

And at some point tony is a yeerk host and the horror and H/C would be delightful. Also the fun of it not being the superheroes who save earth but a bunch of kids.

And the story it wouldn't involve the animorphs necessarily directly beyond references to them. And the time animorphs is set works well right, it's what, between 1996-2000? What would avengers characters have been up to in that time frame I wonder... I'm not well versed in 616/comics I just read fic lol
